Mark was born in Northern Maine in 1969. At the age of 15 he began his education of the art of carpentry during the summer months. After graduating from high school he continued his education at Vermont Technical College for the next two years. In 1989 he graduated from V.T.C. with an Associates Degree in Architectural Engineering. Not yet satisfied with his level of formal learning he moved to Bozeman, Montana to continue studies of the built environment. In 1994 he again graduated, this time from Montana State University with a Masters in Architecture.
After working briefly in offices in Salt Lake City and Bozeman, Mark settled in at Candace Miller at her studio in Livingston, Montana. He became Candace’s ‘righthand man’ and turned out countless projects with her from 1996 to 2003. He then formed his own firm, Mark Weirich Architect, Inc. Mark’s experience in the building industry is broad and ranges from 1984 to the present.
